• Actress Ha Ji Won on why she started her own agency: "Despite many offers, needed freedom"

Actress Ha Ji Won recently opened up about her journey to establish her own entertainment agency.

In an episode titled 'Ha Ji Won EP.27 Ji Won brought reinforcements' on the YouTube channel 'Sweet Brother Shin Dong Yeop', aired on February 12th, Ha Ji Won shared her thoughts and goals when she decided to start her own company.

"After my contract with my previous company ended, I was flooded with offers from other companies," she revealed.

"But what I really craved was freedom. That's why I took on 'Empress Ki' as my first independent project. And that's how it all began."

As she continued her journey, more actors started to join her company. "I don't give myself any special treatment. But as I continued, I started to question, 'Why am I an actor and what is my purpose in life?'" she confessed.

"Sure, I want to be a top star and earn a lot of money, but when I face any troubles or temptations, I tell myself, 'That's nothing. Look beyond and think about the bigger picture.' That's why I want to help each and every person. They're precious. That's why I created an agency," she added.

Responding to her, Shin Dong Yeop said, "I respect you as my younger sibling, but in reality, running a business isn't easy with just that mindset. There are people, an office, labor costs, and fixed costs incurred every month. It's not a walk in the park."

Ha Ji Won acknowledged this, saying, "I do go out a lot," but emphasized, "My number one hope is that these people I'm with grow up to be great individuals." She then added, with a laugh, “But yes, making money is also important.”

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
