• Girls' Generation Sooyoung Narrates the Laugh-Out-Loud of a Twentysomething's Lighthearted Pickup Attempt

Girls' Generation's Sooyoung was a guest on the most recent episode of "Jo Hyun Ah's Thursday Night" on YouTube.

She told the sad and funny story of how a young guy in his twenties tried so hard to pick her up.

"It was either early this year or late last year in Apgujeong," the Girl's Generation member said.

These two young guys looked like they were in their early 20s. They were walking toward me while holding their phone.

"I thought they wanted to take a picture with me," she said.

After that, he said, "Hi, so I don't usually do things like this; this is the first time in my life…"

I thought, "Oh, he must be asking a famous person to take a picture for the first time."

He then asked, "If it's not too much trouble, may I have your number?"

When Jo Hyun Ah heard the story, she was scared and asked, "Were you wearing a mask?" Sooyoung agreed and said, "I was wearing a mask, but when I heard that, I took it off and asked, 'Excuse me?'"

'Can I get your number?' he asked over and over again."
Sooyoung also said, "And then his friend next to him was like, 'I can vouch for this guy.'"

In all the time I've known him, this guy has never asked a girl for her number. I then told them, "Sorry, but I have a boyfriend."

He then thought I was lying when I said that to turn him down.

He asked me outright, "How long have you been seeing that person?"

Sooyoung said, "So then I told him, '10 years.'" She couldn't believe it either.

He wouldn't give up, though, and told me to give him my number anyway. That way, when I wrote "Men are all the same" on my KakaoTalk page, he'd call me.

Sooyoung finally gave in and told him who she was, but she said, "Half of me didn't want to embarrass that child, but half of me was kind of thinking, 'What if he just says, 'Who?'"

    Is Sooyoung from Girls' Generation?

I was still happy about it, though.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
