• How Are Netizens Reacting To NewJeans Topping The Charts Despite Tough Competition With BLACKPINK

Without a question, YG Entertainment's third-generation monster group BLACKPINK's comeback has shook up the K-pop industry, with fans of the girl group ensuring that the two-year-later comeback song becomes a local favorite.

NewJeans, on the other hand, are rookies from ADOR under HYBE Labels, thus when it was reported that BLACKPINK would be making a comeback, NewJeans supporters feared that the five-member girl group would not be able to maintain their present position in the Melon Charts.

However, On August 20, a post about NewJeans began trending on TheQoo's community board under the title, "NewJeans' 'Attention' is back at number one on the Melon Realtime Charts TOP100".

The netizen who posted wrote, "After midnight, they came back to #1!".

Other netizens quickly responded with comments such as:

"Attention" and "Hype Boy" are way too good.

I listen to BLACKPINK and NewJeans a lot these days, and I love it. Let's fill the top three together!

The songs of NewJeans don't try to be cute, strong, or dangerous. Instead, they have a new sound that doesn't get old.

BLACKPINK's song wasn't as good as I thought.

I really can't get sick of the song by NewJeans. It's really cool.

The more you hear their music, the better it gets.

Even a month ago, I never would have imagined such an outcome.

All four of their tracks are excellent!

I really can't get sick of the song by NewJeans. It's really cool.

"Attention" is so new that it never gets old, but lately I've been listening to "Hype Boy" more. "Hype Boy", let's run harder too.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
