MBC's psychological thriller "The Perfect Lie", starring Yoo Yeon Seok and Seo Hyun Jin, is showing signs of growing viewer interest as its latest episode recorded a peak rating of 4.2%.

According to Nielsen Korea, episode 3, which aired on November 6, reached a highest minute-by-minute viewership rating of 4.2%, marking an improvement from the previous broadcast.

The episode also recorded an average nationwide household rating of 2.2%, rising from the 1.9% recorded by both the first and second episodes.

The increase marks the first time The Perfect Lie has moved into the 2% range for its average nationwide ratings since its premiere.

The drama's ratings improvement comes as the conflict between its two main characters becomes more intense, keeping viewers guessing about what really happened between them.

Yoo Yeon Seok plays Min Joon Ho, a doctor whose account of a mysterious incident conflicts with that of Kang Ji Sun, played by Seo Hyun Jin.

In episode 3, the disagreement between the two characters continued to affect their personal and professional lives, with questions about their credibility becoming an important part of the story.

As their opposing claims gained attention, the episode explored how public opinion can change depending on what people believe, adding more tension to the psychological mystery.

Rather than immediately revealing the truth, The Perfect Lie continues to present different perspectives, encouraging viewers to question which character they can trust.

The series has also drawn attention to Yoo Yeon Seok and Seo Hyun Jin's performances as they portray characters caught in an increasingly complicated dispute.

With average nationwide ratings rising to 2.2% and peak viewership reaching 4.2%, The Perfect Lie is beginning to build momentum as its central mystery develops.

Attention is now turning to whether the MBC drama can continue its ratings growth in the upcoming episodes.
