IU has finally explained why some of her Europe travel photos with longtime friend Yoo In Na were not shared in high quality, and the reason turned out to be surprisingly simple.
During a recent Melon Music Wave chat event, fans asked IU if she could upload the original high-resolution versions of the travel photos that appeared in a recent friendship video.
IU explained that the original pictures are still stored on Yoo In Na’s phone, but Yoo In Na was unable to transfer them to her newer device.
IU said, “Those photos are on In Na unnie’s phone, but she couldn’t transfer them to her recent phone, so we took pictures of the photos directly from the phone screen.”
In other words, some of the images fans saw were literally photos taken of another phone’s display, explaining why the quality appeared lower than expected.
The pictures were included in a collection of memories IU recently shared through her official social media, showing moments from her 15-year friendship with Yoo In Na. The post featured everything from their younger days to casual trips and everyday moments together.
IU used her song Dear My Crazy Soulmate as the background music for the memories. The track was written and composed by IU for Yoo In Na and reflects their longtime friendship.
The amusing explanation behind the Europe photos added another casual moment to the pair’s well-known friendship, while also answering fans who had been hoping to see clearer versions of the images.
