ENHYPEN’s Jay could not hide his excitement after getting the chance to cook alongside celebrity chef Edward Lee.
On September 24, Jay appeared in the first episode of ENHYPEN’s new YouTube cooking content Shh, Secret Chef, where he was challenged to prepare a dish by following instructions from a chef hidden behind a screen.
The mystery chef for the first episode turned out to be Edward Lee.
Throughout the challenge, Jay showed how seriously he approached cooking. When he noticed a mistake, he tried to find a solution instead of giving up. He also carefully checked Edward Lee’s instructions whenever something was unfamiliar.
The two also had a relaxed conversation about music and everyday life while cooking together.
At one point, Edward Lee asked Jay which ENHYPEN song best matched the atmosphere of the moment. Jay chose Go Big or Go Home.
The biggest moment came after the cooking mission ended and Jay finally met Edward Lee face-to-face.
Jay shared how meaningful the experience was for him, saying, “I’m so happy to meet you. It’s an honor to cook with a chef I’ve known since I was young. This is one of the moments of my year.”
Jay and Edward Lee also talked about what it takes to continue doing something they genuinely enjoy, finding common ground despite working in different fields.
The meeting gave fans a closer look at Jay’s longtime interest in cooking while allowing him to work directly with a chef he had admired for years.
