Fin.K.L is officially preparing for an extended full-group comeback as Lee Hyori, Ock Joo Hyun, Lee Jin, and Sung Yuri begin a new two-year project leading up to the group’s 30th anniversary.
On September 23, Gemstone E&M announced plans for FIN.K.L RE:BLOOM, a long-term project that will feature new music and concerts as its main focus.
According to the company, Fin.K.L will remain active as a four-member group for approximately two years, with additional projects including documentaries, variety content, exhibitions, official merchandise, brand collaborations, advertisements, and fan activities gradually being released.
The announcement comes after Fin.K.L recently revealed plans to resume activities as a complete group for the first time in 21 years.
Rather than simply revisiting the group’s past hits, the upcoming project is expected to focus on what Lee Hyori, Ock Joo Hyun, Lee Jin, and Sung Yuri can create together at this stage of their careers.
Fin.K.L debuted in 1998 and became one of the most successful first-generation K-pop girl groups, releasing well-known songs including Blue Rain, To My Boyfriend, Eternal Love, and Now.
Gemstone E&M emphasized that FIN.K.L RE:BLOOM will not be a one-time anniversary event.
The company stated, “This is not a one-time event for a specific anniversary, but a major long-term project that will continue for about two years toward the group’s 30th anniversary.”
Jason Lee, CEO overseeing group management at Gemstone E&M, explained that the project is intended to connect Fin.K.L’s history with a new chapter for the members and their fans.
He said, “FIN.K.L RE:BLOOM is not simply about celebrating Fin.K.L’s past. It is a journey in which the four members and their fans create what comes next together.”
He added that the project aims to give longtime fans something special while also introducing Fin.K.L to a new generation.
With new songs, concerts, and several additional projects planned over the next two years, Fin.K.L’s latest reunion is set to become a much larger comeback leading into their 30th anniversary.
