Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon has revealed that one quality has become even more important to her when thinking about a future partner: having a calm personality.
Hyoyeon shared her thoughts in a recent interview for MBC Every1 and KBS Joy’s upcoming relationship program *Contract Marriage*, where she will serve as an MC alongside fromis_9’s Lee Chaeyoung.
Speaking about joining the show, Hyoyeon said she was excited because she already enjoys watching dating programs.
She explained, *“I usually enjoy watching I Am Solo, so I was really excited and happy to join Contract Marriage as an MC. I thought the idea of skipping dating and going straight into marriage felt fresh.”*
When asked whether watching the program had changed what she looks for in a potential spouse, Hyoyeon said it actually strengthened a preference she already had.
*“I’ve always said that I like calm people, and after watching Contract Marriage, I think I became even more certain about that,”* she said.
Rather than revealing any immediate marriage plans, Hyoyeon simply shared that a calm personality remains one of the qualities she values most in a partner.
Her comments come as marriage has become a more visible topic among Girls’ Generation members. Tiffany became the first member of the group to marry when she tied the knot with actor Byun Yo Han earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Lee Chaeyoung also shared her excitement about joining *Contract Marriage*, explaining that she hopes to give honest reactions that viewers her age can relate to.
The upcoming program explores an unusual concept in which participants begin with a marriage agreement rather than dating first, then discover how their feelings and relationships change while living together.
*Contract Marriage* is scheduled to premiere on September 28 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
