Yoo Ah In has officially confirmed his return to acting through director Jang Jae Hyun’s upcoming film Vampir, drawing sharply divided reactions online.
The actor has joined Vampir as his next major project following the conclusion of his recent legal proceedings.
Vampir is a mystery occult film that follows an unidentified contract killer who accepts a request from a priest and begins pursuing a mysterious religious group.
The film is already attracting attention because it is the latest project from director Jang Jae Hyun, who previously directed The Priests, Svaha: The Sixth Finger, and the box office hit Exhuma.
Distributor NEW had previously remained cautious when reports first surfaced about Yoo Ah In’s possible casting, but his appearance in the film has now been confirmed.
Yoo Ah In will play the contract killer who tracks the mysterious group. His character is described as a fearless man who rarely loses his composure but gradually changes after encountering unexplained beings during his mission.
Following confirmation of his comeback, online reactions were divided.

Another supportive comment questioned whether someone should be permanently prevented from working after completing the legal process.
