Lee Joo Yeon and Yang Se Chan turned their past dating rumors into a playful exchange during the latest episode of Running Man.
Lee Joo Yeon appeared as a guest on the August 16 broadcast alongside Kim Ji Eun and Apink’s Jung Eun Ji, marking her return to the show after eight years.
During the episode, the cast brought up an old on-screen love line between Lee Joo Yeon and Yang Se Chan. When Haha asked whether she had previously had a romantic pairing on the program, Lee Joo Yeon initially replied, “There wasn’t one.”
However, old footage showing their playful chemistry was then shown.
The conversation later turned to Lee Joo Yeon’s current love life. When Ji Suk Jin asked whether she was dating, she answered, “I’m not in love right now.”
She added, “In the past, work was more important to me than love, but starting about a year ago, I began thinking that I wanted to fall in love. I should meet a good man soon. Is there anyone around?”
The cast jokingly suggested Yang Se Chan, but Lee Joo Yeon quickly responded, “No.”
The teasing continued when the members joked about Yang Se Chan’s rumored dating history. After Lee Joo Yeon asked, “Are you an idol killer?” Ji Suk Jin jokingly said there had been rumors that Yang Se Chan had dated an idol.
Lee Joo Yeon then said, “I heard about it too. Who was it?” before adding, “I think I know.”
Yang Se Chan immediately fired back with a tease of his own.
He said, “I know who you dated too. Should I say it? Let’s see whose story would cause a bigger reaction.”
Lee Joo Yeon quickly ended the exchange by saying, “Let’s both stay quiet.”
The moment drew laughs from the cast and was presented as a lighthearted back-and-forth rather than a confirmation of anyone’s past relationship.
Lee Joo Yeon was previously linked to BIGBANG’s G Dragon in dating rumors on several occasions. However, neither side officially confirmed that they were in a relationship, so the past reports remain unverified.
