Girls’ Generation’s Yuri drew attention after reflecting on her past relationships and sharing a sincere message to former boyfriends she feels she may have treated poorly.

On the August 14 episode of KBS2’s Happy Together – I Like That I’m Not Alone, the show introduced the story of Oh Yoon Gi and Lee Chae Eun, who had dated for more than eight years before ending their relationship last December.

While watching their story, Yuri said it unexpectedly made her think about her own dating experiences in her 20s.

She shared, “Without realizing it, I went back to my 20s and thought about the ex-boyfriends I wasn’t always nice to. I found myself thinking, ‘You should be happy,’ and ‘I’m sorry.’ Thank you for bringing me back to those memories.”

Yuri did not mention any specific former partner or reveal when those relationships took place.

Her comments also brought renewed attention to a previous lighthearted conversation involving Super Junior’s Kim Heechul.

During JTBC’s Love War in June, Heechul spoke casually about Yuri’s dating style after breakups, saying, “Yuri still comfortably keeps in touch with some of her former boyfriends even after they break up.”

He added, “More than anything, I’ve never seen any of the guys she dated speak badly about Yuri.”

Caught off guard by the unexpected comment, Yuri responded, “Who are you talking about?”

Heechul jokingly answered, “You know, that person,” making it sound as though he had someone specific in mind and drawing laughter from the cast.

Yuri’s latest remarks were more reflective, with the singer and actress looking back on her younger years and expressing regret over moments when she believes she could have treated past partners better.

Rather than revealing details about any specific relationship, Yuri focused on wishing her former partners well and acknowledging how the story on the program reminded her of her own past.
