Sung Hoon is officially returning to the small screen with a new romance role in MBN’s upcoming drama Boss’s Explicit Taste.
The actor has been cast as Kwon Do Hyuk, the CEO of Oh Yes Entertainment and a gifted expert in artificial intelligence. His character is described as a wealthy and highly capable boss who appears cold and controlled but gradually begins to change after an unexpected person enters his carefully organized life.
Boss’s Explicit Taste follows Kwon Do Hyuk as he searches for the mysterious “Her” connected to an album. His life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Lee Eun Chae, the vocalist of an indie band who becomes the one unpredictable factor in his otherwise perfect world.
The drama is based on the popular Naver web novel and webtoon of the same name.
Sung Hoon has previously appeared in projects including Perfect Marriage Revenge, Death’s Game, Woori the Virgin, and Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce). In his new role, he is expected to show both Kwon Do Hyuk’s sharp charisma and the more vulnerable emotions hidden beneath his confident exterior.
The production team expressed confidence in his casting, stating, “Sung Hoon is an actor who can portray Kwon Do Hyuk’s perfect visuals, cold charisma, and even the loneliness hidden underneath.”
They added, “Please look forward to Sung Hoon’s new transformation as Kwon Do Hyuk and the exciting romance he will show.”
Ahead of his drama return, Sung Hoon has also been communicating with fans through TikTok and YouTube, where he has shared food related videos and short form challenges.
