tvN’s weekend drama Spooky in Love has set a new personal best in ratings as the romance between Park Eun Bin and Yang Se Jong’s characters continues to develop.
According to Nielsen Korea, episode 8 of Spooky in Love, which aired on August 9, recorded an average nationwide rating of 6.2%, with a peak of 6.5%.
In the Seoul metropolitan area, the episode also averaged 6.2% and reached a peak of 6.7%, marking the drama’s highest ratings since its premiere.
The series also ranked No. 1 in its time slot among cable and general programming channels in tvN’s key 20-49 viewer demographic, both nationwide and in the metropolitan area.
The latest episode showed Cheon Yeo Ri, played by Park Eun Bin, and Ma Kang Wook, played by Yang Se Jong, becoming more certain about their feelings for each other as they moved forward with their relationship.
After a proposal plan did not go as expected, Yeo Ri eventually took the initiative and asked Kang Wook, “Will you get engaged to me?”
Kang Wook responded to her feelings with a kiss, marking an important turning point in their romance.
The episode also introduced another significant connection between the characters, adding more curiosity about what will happen next without revealing too much of the upcoming story.
With its new 6.2% nationwide record, Spooky in Love continues to gain momentum as its romantic storyline moves into a new stage.
