tvN’s Spooky in Love is continuing its strong rise as the romance drama prepares to show Park Eun Bin and Yang Se Jong going on a fake date after announcing their engagement.
Episode 7, airing on August 8, will follow Chun Yeo Ri, played by Park Eun Bin, and prosecutor Ma Kang Wook, played by Yang Se Jong, as they try to make their fake engagement look believable to the people around them.
The two characters previously worked together while dealing with supernatural cases, but their relationship takes a new turn after they agree to pretend to be engaged.
To make their story more convincing, Yeo Ri and Kang Wook begin creating memories that look like real couple moments. Newly released stills show them spending time together at a climbing gym and later visiting an arcade.
At the arcade, the two pose together while holding stuffed toys and take photos of each other, creating a much more relaxed atmosphere than before.
The upcoming episode is expected to focus on whether they can continue convincing others that their engagement is real and whether spending more time together will naturally change their relationship.
Meanwhile, Spellbound has been showing notable ratings growth since its premiere.
The drama started with a nationwide rating of 3.0% and surpassed 6% by episode 6, meaning its viewership has roughly doubled in just a few weeks.
The series has also remained strong in online buzz. According to FUNdex data, Spellbound ranked No. 2 in the TV drama buzz rankings for three consecutive weeks.
Park Eun Bin and Yang Se Jong also placed high in the drama performer buzz rankings, coming in at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
Spellbound is a drama remake of the 2011 film Spellbound, which starred Son Ye Jin and Lee Min Ki.
