Park Eun Bin and Yang Se Jong’s unusual partnership is about to take a major turn as tvN’s Spooky in Love enters the second half of its story.
The romantic mystery drama follows Cheon Yeo Ri, played by Park Eun Bin, and Ma Kang Wook, played by Yang Se Jong, as they work together while dealing with supernatural incidents, complicated feelings, and a mysterious curse.
One of the biggest developments will be Cheon Yeo Ri and Ma Kang Wook’s fake engagement.
Cheon Yeo Ri had been pressured by her grandmother, Baek Kyung Ja, to become engaged to Kang Min Hwan, played by Ong Seong Wu. Her family hoped the marriage would end damaging rumors about her broken engagement and protect her position in the family’s succession plans.
However, Cheon Yeo Ri surprised everyone by calling Ma Kang Wook into a family gathering and declaring, “I will become engaged to Ma Kang Wook.”
Attention is now focused on why the two chose to pretend to be engaged and whether their arrangement could eventually lead to real romantic feelings.
Kang Min Hwan is also expected to become a major obstacle in their relationship.
He has cared for Cheon Yeo Ri for many years, especially after she continued treating him warmly when he discovered that he had been adopted. After returning from studying abroad, he gained her grandmother’s trust and quickly moved forward with their planned engagement.

Kang Ji Hwan’s spirit also remains near her, raising questions about why he has been unable to move on and what really happened during the accident.
