Assassins follows the unanswered questions and suspected forces behind the shocking incident that occurred during a Liberation Day ceremony on August 15, 1974.
Young Il is covering the ceremony when he witnesses the shooting and the death of an innocent person at close range. Refusing to ignore what he saw, he begins a dangerous investigation to discover what truly happened.
