Kim Go Eun’s Grand Prize win at the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards has renewed attention on the Netflix series You and Everything Else, the drama that earned her the top honor.
The awards committee praised Kim Go Eun for carefully expressing her character’s complex emotions across different stages of life.
It stated, “Kim Go Eun connected layered emotions across the years through restrained expressions and a calm tone, showing a strong presence and raising the overall quality of the series.”
You and Everything Else follows the long and complicated friendship between two women who admire, envy, love, and sometimes resent each other throughout their lives.
The series received positive reviews for its emotional writing, detailed direction, and performances without relying on exaggerated storytelling.
After its release in September 2025, the drama reached No. 5 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 list for non-English shows. It also collected several major honors, including awards for its writing, production, and creative quality.
The series previously won in the drama category at the Korea Broadcasting Writers Awards. It later received both Best Drama and Best Screenplay at the Baeksang Arts Awards, followed by Best Creative at the 2026 Global OTT Awards.
