The creator of the original webtoon behind MBC’s A Bona Fide Killer has shared strong praise for the drama’s cast and production after watching its premiere.

Webtoon creator YOON recently wrote on social media that the finished episode was even more entertaining than the script.

YOON said, “I received the script before the broadcast, but seeing it made into an actual video was much more enjoyable than simply reading it.”

The creator also praised the entire cast for making difficult dialogue sound natural.

YOON added, “Everyone acted so well that I was impressed by how naturally they handled the challenging lines. There was no weak performance, from the main cast to the supporting actors and child actors.”

Gong Hyo Jin received particular praise for her portrayal of Yoo Bo Na. According to YOON, one of the actress’s greatest strengths is her ability to make unusual dialogue sound like a real conversation.

The creator wrote, “Gong Hyo Jin’s biggest strength is that she can deliver unrealistic lines as if she were speaking naturally in real life. That quality was fully shown, and she led the story in a comfortable way.”

YOON also praised the actress’s action scenes, describing her version of Yoo Bo Na as impressive and highly satisfying.

Jung Joon Won was similarly praised for fitting the role of Tae Sung. YOON explained that the actor’s voice already came to mind while reading the script.

The creator said, “I thought he suited the role from the script, but he performed it even better than I imagined. It made me realize once again that he is one of the best actors.”

YOON added that Jung Joon Won’s gentle image matched Tae Sung’s caring personality as a family man and devoted father.

The creator also complimented the drama’s direction, especially the action sequences, saying the television version added energy and detail that could not be fully shown in the original webtoon.

Director Yoon Jong Ho responded in the comments and admitted that adapting the popular webtoon came with pressure.

He wrote, “Directing such an excellent webtoon was a very difficult and demanding task for me. I sincerely hope viewers enjoy it.”

A Bona Fide Killer airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 p.m. on MBC.
