Shin Dong Yup shared a surprising story about how So Ji Sub joined the classic MBC sitcom Three Guys and Three Girls during the actor’s early career.

During the August 1 episode of tvN’s Amazing Saturday, Jung Hae In, Ha Young, and Heo Sung Tae appeared as guests to promote the drama This Awful Love.

While playing a game that required the cast to name So Ji Sub’s past projects, Shin Dong Yup mentioned Three Guys and Three Girls. His answer surprised the other cast members because the sitcom was not included in the production team’s prepared list.

Shin Dong Yup explained, “He appeared later in the series.”

Nucksal jokingly called him “a living fossil” because of his detailed memory of older television programs.

Host Boom then confirmed that So Ji Sub reportedly appeared during the later part of the sitcom. Shin Dong Yup recalled how he first encountered the actor on set.

He said, “When I was filming, So Ji Sub came to visit Song Seung Heon and ended up joining the show.”

So Ji Sub was known to be close to Song Seung Heon, who was one of the sitcom’s main cast members. His casual visit reportedly led to an unexpected acting opportunity during the beginning of his career.

After hearing that Three Guys and Three Girls aired from 1996 to 1999, DAY6’s Young K remarked that he was only three years old at the time.

Moon Se Yoon jokingly asked whether he enjoyed watching it, and Young K played along by replying, “I really enjoyed it.”
