Ryu Hye Young and Go Kyung Pyo are set to reunite on MBC’s I Live Alone, years after winning viewers’ hearts as a couple in Reply 1988.
A preview shown at the end of the July 31 episode featured the two actors spending the day together. Although many fans know them as Sung Bo Ra and Sung Sun Woo from Reply 1988, they revealed that their friendship began long before the drama.
The actors have known each other for around 16 years after meeting as university seniors and juniors. Go Kyung Pyo also shared a funny story that showed how close they had become.
He told Ryu Hye Young, “My parents once came to my apartment to bring me food, but you came out instead of me, so my mother and father were surprised.”
The two also appeared to share similar interests. When Ryu Hye Young said, “Every day of summer feels very precious,” Go Kyung Pyo replied, “I like sweating.”
Ryu Hye Young immediately agreed, saying, “Me too.”
Their natural conversation and long friendship are expected to offer a nostalgic moment for viewers who enjoyed their chemistry in Reply 1988. More of their day together will be shown in the next episode of I Live Alone.
