Gong Hyo Jin appeared as a possible female lead for the second season of Yoo Jae Suk’s short-form drama project.

The August 1 episode of MBC’s Hangout with Yoo followed Yoo Jae Suk and the production team as they prepared a new season of Shoot Yoo.

During the episode, comedian Kwak Beom was interviewed for a staff position. Yoo Jae Suk learned that he had studied art before leaving university and asked him to draw a portrait.

Before revealing the picture, Kwak Beom warned, “Please do not be offended. I drew what I saw in a realistic and classical style.”

After seeing it, Yoo Jae Suk jokingly replied, “That is just a camel wearing glasses.”

The team later met Gong Hyo Jin as a possible female lead. Her surprise appearance left Joo Woo Jae, Heo Kyung Hwan, and Haha visibly nervous.

Joo Woo Jae told Gong Hyo Jin that he had been a fan of her character Mi Rae in the drama Ruler of Your Own World. She thanked him for remembering the role.

Gong Hyo Jin then gave an honest review of the previous short-form drama. She praised Jung Joon Ha’s acting but pointed out weaknesses in the story.

She said, “It lost strength toward the end. The dialogue was weak.”

Haha appeared surprised and jokingly blamed the production difficulties on another cast member, creating a casual and humorous moment.

Yoo Jae Suk revealed that the new project would be titled The Man Who Must Spend 100 Million Won and explained that the male lead would play a wealthy character.

Gong Hyo Jin briefly showed interest but said romance would need to be included. She suggested Heo Kyung Hwan as a possible male lead because she found him handsome.

Heo Kyung Hwan jokingly responded, “Because of our height difference, I do not think we can film full-body shots. We would have to remain seated.”

Gong Hyo Jin then recommended actor Jung Joon Won, her co-star in MBC’s A Bona Fide Killer, for the male lead role.

Jung Joon Won appeared nervous during his first variety show appearance and struggled to respond as Yoo Jae Suk and the cast continued asking him playful questions.

Gong Hyo Jin also made a ratings promise for A Bona Fide Killer. She said that if the drama passes 15 percent in viewership ratings, she will reveal her home to viewers.
