Son Na Eun addressed her absence from Apink member Yoon Bomi’s wedding and shared her continued support for the group during an interview following the conclusion of SBS drama Agent Kim Reactivated.
Yoon Bomi’s wedding was held in May, but Son Na Eun was unable to attend because she was completing the final stages of filming and had other scheduled activities.
Son Na Eun carefully explained: “We were near the end of filming, and I also had another schedule. Apink is the group I spent my teenage years and twenties with, so I always want to celebrate when something good happens. My feelings of supporting them as a fan have not changed.”
She also spoke openly about being known as a former idol. Rather than distancing herself from that part of her career, Son Na Eun said she remains grateful for it.
She shared: “It is true that I came from an idol group, and that experience helped make me who I am today. I do not want to deny it, and I am thankful for that description. However, continuing to work harder is still my responsibility.”
Son Na Eun received positive attention for expanding her acting range through her first major action role in Agent Kim Reactivated. She attended action school and trained carefully to prepare for the physical scenes.
She said: “This was my first time taking on action, and I want to give myself credit for expanding my acting range. However, I still feel disappointed about the scenes where a stunt performer was used. Next time, I want to train more and perform everything myself.”
She also expressed gratitude after So Ji Sub reportedly prepared gold gifts for the drama’s cast and staff.
Son Na Eun said: “I received it through my manager, and I never expected it to be gold. I was very thankful. I appreciated his thoughtfulness in taking care of everyone on set.”
The actress added that the drama’s popularity even changed her family’s viewing habits. She revealed that her father, who usually does not watch many dramas, followed Agent Kim Reactivated closely and even watched repeat broadcasts.
After completing the demanding project, Son Na Eun also gave herself a simple reward by finishing an entire cup of instant noodles for the first time during filming.
She recalled: “I took a photo of the cup noodles because it was a reward for myself. The staff members were surprised and asked, ‘Did you really eat that much?’ I normally could not eat like that because of my regular self management.”
Rather than hoping for an individual award, Son Na Eun said she would like the cast and production team of Agent Kim Reactivated to receive a best drama or teamwork award together.
Looking ahead, she expressed interest in trying more genres, including romantic comedies, melodramas, and legal series, as she continues building her career as an actress.
