BTS’s Jimin drew attention for his warm interaction with young performers after the 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show.

Following the July 19 performance, Jimin reportedly stayed behind to hug and encourage the children who had joined him on stage. The show was held in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.

As the performers left the venue, Jimin slowed down to make eye contact with each child and praise them for their hard work. Video footage also showed several children gathering closely around him.

Online users reacted warmly, leaving comments such as “Jimin is the Pied Piper” and “Jimin, you are the sweetest.”

The moment was not the first time Jimin had shown concern for young fans during a performance.

At a concert in Mexico, he noticed a child crying in the audience and gave the fan the cowboy hat he had been wearing. Jimin gently told the child, “Do not cry.”

During a recent Paris concert, he also noticed a young fan standing near the barrier. Jimin asked nearby audience members not to push and later gave the child his T-shirt.

Beyond the stage, Jimin has supported children and teenagers through several donations.

In a message accompanying donations to regional education offices, he said, “I support younger students who want to focus on their studies but are facing difficult circumstances.”

Jimin also donated 100 million won to Rotary International to support efforts to eliminate polio.
