BTS member Jimin drew strong attention worldwide after his voice, dancing, and stage presence became a major talking point during the 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show.
On July 19, local time, Jimin joined the other BTS members on stage for a performance of their global hit “Dynamite”.
The singer wore a football inspired outfit featuring the number 7, representing both South Korean football star Son Heung Min’s jersey number and the seven members of BTS.
Jimin impressed viewers with his high notes and synchronized choreography. Following the performance, many people unfamiliar with BTS reportedly began asking about the blond singer who stood out on stage.
Billboard News host Tetris Kelly expressed his excitement before the halftime show, writing, “JIMIN AND MADONNA COMINGGGG!!!!”
Supermodel Gisele also attended the event and shared a video of Jimin’s performance on Instagram with the playful message, “I came to support my husband.”
YouTuber IShowSpeed reacted immediately after hearing Jimin’s voice during his livestream. He pointed his camera toward the stadium screen showing the singer and exclaimed, “Yo!”
Streamer N3on also appeared surprised by Jimin’s distinctive high notes. Before recognizing him, he asked, “There is a girl in the group?” He later spotted Jimin leaving the stage and shouted, “Oh my God, Jimin! Jimin!”
The widely shared reactions highlighted how Jimin attracted attention from both longtime BTS fans and viewers who were discovering him for the first time.
Jimin is scheduled to continue BTS’s “ARIRANG” world tour with performances at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on August 2 and 3, Korea time.
