Namkoong Min will deliver an intense construction site action scene in the next episode of KBS 2TV’s “The Husband

The drama continues to gain attention after episode 4 recorded its highest ratings so far. According to Nielsen Korea, the July 12 broadcast earned a nationwide rating of 7.2% and reached a peak of 8.5%.

The Husband” also ranked No. 1 on Disney Plus Korea’s “Top 10 Series Today” list for two consecutive weeks. It placed No. 2 in Good Data Corporation’s TV and OTT drama search rankings for the second week of July.

New stills from episode 5 show Namkoong Min’s character, Kang Tae Joo, running through a construction site while being chased by police officers.

The neurosurgeon climbs a large sand hill, rolls across the ground, and jumps onto high structures as he tries to escape. However, he eventually finds himself surrounded by a large group of officers.

The situation becomes more tense when Kang Tae Joo raises a gun and fires a warning shot into the air.

Namkoong Min reportedly performed the difficult action scenes himself. He rolled across rough surfaces and climbed the construction site structures to show his character’s desperation, fear, and anger.

Without revealing major spoilers, “The Husband” follows Kang Tae Joo as he enters a dangerous fight to save his kidnapped wife. The series combines crime, mystery, and action as the former ordinary doctor is pushed into increasingly extreme situations.

Episode 5 of “The Husband” will air on July 18 at 9:20 PM.
