Actor Yang Se Jong revealed that he does not believe in ghosts but is still easily frightened by them.
On July 15, Yang Se Jong and Park Eun Bin appeared on “Yoo In Radio” ahead of the premiere of tvN’s new weekend drama “Spooky in Love.”
In the drama, Yang Se Jong plays Ma Kang Wook, a prosecutor with strong physical abilities, a sharp mind, and a strong sense of justice. Despite appearing confident and fearless, the character is deeply afraid of ghosts.
Park Eun Bin described Ma Kang Wook by saying, “He is not afraid of living people, but he is more afraid of things that are not alive than anyone else.”
When Yoo In Na asked whether Yang Se Jong believes in ghosts in real life, he replied, “I do not believe that ghosts exist, but I am afraid of them. I think that is something Kang Wook and I have in common.”
Park Eun Bin also revealed that Yang Se Jong often prayed on set. He explained, “I am a Christian, so I pray often.”
Yoo In Na then asked whether acting frightened was easy for him, and Yang Se Jong quickly answered, “Yes.”
Park Eun Bin shared a funny behind the scenes story, saying Yang Se Jong reacted so strongly that she and director Lee Min Soo asked him to reduce his fear slightly.
She recalled telling him, “It may be difficult to fall in love with you like this, so please tone it down a little.”
Yang Se Jong ended the conversation by admitting, “I cannot even watch scary movies.”
“Spooky in Love” follows Yang Se Jong and Park Eun Bin in a romance story with supernatural elements.
