Park Eun Bin is ready to show a new side of herself through tvN’s upcoming Saturday-Sunday drama “Spooky in Love”.
The drama, set to premiere on July 18 at 9:10 PM, is an occult romantic comedy about Cheon Yeo Ri, a wealthy hotel CEO who can see ghosts, and a passionate prosecutor who is deeply afraid of ghosts.
Park Eun Bin shared why she chose the new genre, saying, “I wanted to show a different side from my previous works.”
She explained that she was drawn to Cheon Yeo Ri because of the contrast between her public image and her hidden secret.
She said, “I found the gap between her image as a hotel CEO and the side she has to hide from others very attractive”.
She added that she felt connected to the character because Yeo Ri wants to live a normal life but cannot, and still tries her best to overcome her situation.
In the drama, Cheon Yeo Ri appears to have everything, including beauty, wealth, and talent. However, she carries a secret: she can see ghosts, and anyone who touches her hand can also see them.
Park Eun Bin described her character as “a hardworking businesswoman at work” and “a sincere person” who carefully follows her daily routine outside of work.
She also said it was important for her to show that Yeo Ri is not a bad person, even if others misunderstand her.
Park Eun Bin explained, “At first, I tried to show a flawless side to highlight the misunderstandings that people around her have. But during her personal time, I focused on showing a more human and imperfect charm”.
The actress also paid attention to Yeo Ri’s signature glove styling. Since the character must always wear gloves, Park Eun Bin said she worked to make the gloves fit each look, from her polished hotel CEO outfits to her work clothes.
As for what viewers should look forward to, Park Eun Bin said she hopes fans enjoy watching how the characters change as they meet, clash, and face one another.
With “Spooky in Love”, Park Eun Bin is taking on another acting challenge after showing many different sides through dramas such as “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, “The King’s Affection”, “Castaway Diva”, and “Hyper Knife”.
