Kang Ha Kyung is gaining attention for his scene stealing performance in TVING’s “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier.”
In episodes 9 and 10, which aired on June 8 and 9, Kang Ha Kyung’s character Kim Gwan Cheol became more active as a kitchen assistant at Gangrim Guard Post. The character showed both strong charisma and unexpected clumsy charm, giving viewers a fun contrast.
When Kang Sung Jae, played by Park Ji Hoon, left to help at the officers’ dining hall, Kim Gwan Cheol stepped in to support Yoon Dong Hyun, played by Lee Hong Nae. He confidently said, “Who else but me can handle Sergeant Yoon Dong Hyun?” showing his bold and humorous personality.

However, he soon faced a difficult mission when he had to prepare “braised boneless pollack,” known as one of the most disliked military meals. Instead of backing down, he turned the situation into a chance to prove himself.
Kang Ha Kyung received praise for balancing serious moments with comedy and adding more energy to the drama. A representative also shared, “Kang Ha Kyung led the fun of episodes 9 and 10,” praising his stable acting and the charm he brings to Kim Gwan Cheol.
“The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” will air episode 11 and its final episode next week on tvN and TVING.
