Singer Haru revealed that he almost debuted as a member of TWS after being scouted by HYBE.
On the June 6 broadcast of MBN’s “Kim Joo Ha’s Day and Night,” the TOP 3 contestants of “Unknown Legend,” Sung Ri, Haru, and Jang Han Byul, appeared as guests and shared stories about their careers.
During the episode, Haru surprised everyone by revealing that he had been scouted by a major idol agency while he was still in school.

He said, “When I was in my first year of high school, I was cast by an idol agency.” He then added, “At that time, it was Big Hit, and now it is HYBE.”
However, Haru explained that his mother was strongly against the idea at the time. He shared, “My mother strongly opposed it. She said, ‘What kind of idol would you be?’” Haru said he followed his mother’s words back then, but later regretted the decision.
He then revealed that HYBE contacted him again when he was in his third year of high school, and surprisingly, it was the same person who had contacted him before.

Haru said, “Honestly, I think being in the third year of high school was a bit old to prepare to become an idol. I was not ready either. We talked well, but I did not join.” It was later shared that the group connected to that opportunity was TWS.
Haru also opened up about his interest in hip hop and his attempt to join “High School Rapper.” He said, “I really liked G Dragon and Big Bang.” He added that during his teenage years, he became interested in hip hop and practiced with his friends before taking on the challenge.
His story gained attention as viewers learned that Haru had once been close to taking a very different path in the idol industry.
