BTS is once again showing their massive global popularity with their world tour “ARIRANG”.

According to BigHit Music on May 31, BTS brought in a total of 840,000 fans through 15 concerts in five cities across the United States and Mexico. The group performed in Tampa, El Paso, Stanford, Las Vegas, and Mexico City, with every seat sold out.

Due to strong demand, additional shows were added in Tampa, Stanford, and Las Vegas. Those extra dates also sold out, proving the group’s strong ticket power.

At each concert, fans filled the venues in purple outfits, the color often connected to BTS and ARMY. Many also brought items with photos of their favorite members as they celebrated what was described as the “return of the kings of K-pop”. Long lines were also seen near merchandise shops as fans waited to buy BTS goods.

BigHit Music shared, “BTS presented a setlist that included songs from their new album ‘ARIRANG’ as well as the group’s representative songs.” The agency also said fans “raised the energy by singing along to the Korean lyrics.”

One of the most memorable moments came during the “Body to Body” stage, when fans sang the Korean folk song “Arirang” together. BigHit Music said the moment showed “the power to connect people around the world as one.”

BTS also topped Billboard’s April “Top Tours” chart. According to Billboard, the group earned 76.2 million dollars, or about 114.8 billion won, and sold 417,000 tickets from eight concerts held in Goyang, Tokyo, and Tampa in April.

The three Tampa shows also recorded the highest sales and largest audience for a single venue in April. Billboard reported that the Tampa and El Paso concerts earned an average of 12.1 million dollars per show, which was about 64 percent higher than BTS’s previous U.S. concerts.

BTS will next meet Korean fans at Busan Asiad Main Stadium on June 12 and 13. The June 13 concert will be especially meaningful, as it marks BTS’s 13th debut anniversary.

After that, the group will begin their Europe tour in Madrid on June 26, followed by the second part of their North American tour in August starting in East Rutherford.
