I.O.I is making a special return to “Knowing Bros” for their 10th debut anniversary.
The group will appear on the May 16 episode of JTBC’s “Knowing Bros”, marking a meaningful reunion with the show. I.O.I previously appeared on the program in 2016 as their last full group variety show before ending promotions.
During the episode, the members look back on their short but unforgettable time together. They share, “Since we were the beginning of audition program groups, we were not sure if we would do well, so our contract period was also the shortest.” The members also reveal news of their first overseas concert tour, raising excitement among fans.
Chungha, who was chosen by the members as one of the biggest reasons behind the reunion, shares the touching moment that made her think of I.O.I fans again. She says, “When I went to events, there were still fans who brought I.O.I albums and light sticks to get autographs”.
Jeon Somi also talks about their new title song “Suddenly”, revealing that she took part in writing the lyrics. I.O.I performs a medley of their hit songs and their new track on the show. The “Knowing Bros” cast reacts warmly by singing along and copying the choreography.
Their support moves Jeon Somi to tears, and Choi Yoo Jung also becomes emotional. The members comfort each other, creating a heartfelt moment during the reunion.
The episode will also show the members’ fun and unexpected sides. Kim So Hye, who was once remembered for the famous line, “So Hye, do you want to become a singer?” surprises everyone with a strong dance performance to Tyla’s “Water”.
Kang Ho Dong reacts with laughter, saying, “The dance was so intense that I thought my neck would fall off.”
Yoo Yeon Jung also shares that she is known as the “influencer” among the I.O.I members. She says, “When I recommend something, the members buy it together.” Jeon Somi agrees and jokes, “Unnie talks about it so deliciously that you cannot help but buy it.”
I.O.I’s episode of “Knowing Bros” will air on May 16 at 9 PM.
