tvN’s weekend drama “Filing for Love” is gaining more attention as Gong Myung and Shin Hye Sun’s romance begins to move in a bolder direction.
Episode 6, which aired on May 10, showed Joo In Ah, played by Shin Hye Sun, and Noh Ki Joon, played by Gong Myung, growing closer after opening up about their hidden pain. The episode especially drew attention for Noh Ki Joon’s direct confession, as he stopped hiding his feelings and chose to face Joo In Ah honestly.
The drama also proved its rising popularity through strong ratings. According to the report, episode 6 recorded an average rating of 10.3% and a peak of 11.8% in the metropolitan area, setting a new personal best.
Nationwide, the episode reached an average rating of 9.4% and kept first place in its time slot across all channels. Its 2049 rating also rose to a peak of 4.1% in the metropolitan area, showing strong interest from younger viewers.
In the episode, Joo In Ah faced emotional confusion after learning that Noh Ki Joon and Park Ah Jung, played by Hong Hwa Yeon, were former lovers and are currently living together. Although she tried to act calm, her feelings quickly changed. When Noh Ki Joon approached her with concern, she shouted, “I am Joo In Ah,” showing how hard she was trying to keep herself from falling apart.
Even during their personal tension, Joo In Ah and Noh Ki Joon continued their audit work. They noticed suspicious details behind why group model PK, played by Jang Deok Soo, was not replaced after a late night chase accident. Despite a 5 billion won contract, there were no clear meeting records or emails, leading them to investigate marketing team leader Han Ji Won, played by Oh Hye Won.
As the case unfolded, Joo In Ah showed her strong but warm side. After learning that Han Ji Won was being pressured to hide the truth, Joo In Ah told her, “I can become quite a strong shield for you.” The line touched viewers and showed why her character continues to gain support.
The episode then shifted back to the growing tension between Joo In Ah and Noh Ki Joon. After Joo In Ah was hurt during a chaotic moment, Noh Ki Joon stayed by her side and personally treated her injury. His caring actions made her hesitate, but their conversation was interrupted before she could fully share her feelings.
Noh Ki Joon later became jealous after seeing Joo In Ah with Jeon Sung Yeol, played by Kang Sang Joon. When Joo In Ah asked him, “Why are you doing this when you are not even my husband?” he answered honestly, “I am not in my right mind because of you.” He then confessed, “You already know that I like you.”
Joo In Ah tried to push him away by saying his feelings were only temporary and that their work relationship made things difficult. However, Noh Ki Joon refused to back down and said, “I miss you, I want to hug you, and I get jealous. If this is not love, then what is it?”
With its mix of investigation, emotional tension, and romance, “Filing for Love” continues to build strong buzz among viewers. The drama airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 PM KST on tvN.
