Singer and actress IU opened up about her personal views on love, drawing attention amid her long-term public relationship.
On April 24, a new episode of the YouTube content ‘Mini Palette’ was released on her official channel, featuring actors Byeon Woo Seok, Yoo Soo Bin, and Lee Yeon as guests.
During the conversation, Byeon Woo Seok talked about a difficult filming scene, explaining, “There was a scene with Soo Bin that didn’t go well.”
Yoo Soo Bin added that the scene was filmed later on, saying, “We became closer, and our feelings grew, so we felt more pressure to do well.”
Byeon Woo Seok agreed, sharing, “Because we came to care more, those feelings became bigger.” Hearing this, Lee Yeon jokingly said, “Then it means the love was smaller at first,” creating a light atmosphere.
IU then shared her honest perspective, saying, “If you truly love, you don’t keep talking about love like that. Love just exists deep in your heart,” expressing her belief that real feelings do not always need constant words.
However, Byeon Woo Seok responded with a different view, saying, “These days, I think expressing it is important. People need to express their feelings.”
Yoo Soo Bin playfully replied, “I love you,” to which Byeon Woo Seok answered, “I love you too,” adding, “That’s why you should say it.”
Meanwhile, IU has been in a public relationship with actor Lee Jong Suk since 2022, marking four years together. The two reportedly first became close while working on SBS ‘Inkigayo’ in 2012.
At the time, Lee Jong Suk expressed his feelings by calling it the “result of a long crush,” while IU shared that they had “built a good relationship while relying on each other as longtime colleagues.”
Despite occasional rumors, their relationship has remained steady.
