New claims shared by former entertainment journalist turned YouTuber Lee Jin Ho state that BLACKPINK’s Jisoo has already cut ties with her older brother following a past controversy, drawing attention to her firm stance.
According to Lee Jin Ho, Jisoo and her family lost trust in her brother after allegations related to an illegal filming incident were raised.
He explained that after the issue surfaced, the brother “completely lost trust” from both Jisoo and the family, and they effectively cut off contact.
Lee Jin Ho also stated that Jisoo had no involvement in any of her brother’s personal issues, noting that she “had no way of knowing or being involved” in matters related to the allegations.
Regarding claims that her brother was involved in her work, it was clarified that any help he provided was only as a family member, with no official role, salary, or decision making authority.
Attention grew when his name appeared in the credits of a Netflix project starring Jisoo. However, Lee Jin Ho explained that this was due to earlier involvement before the controversy.
He added that Jisoo was “very upset and shocked” after seeing the credits and strongly requested its removal.
It was further reported that she took action to remove his name from the final version, even covering additional costs, showing her clear intention to distance herself from the situation.
Jisoo’s agency has also stated that the matter is “completely unrelated to the artist”, emphasizing that she has been operating independently without any involvement from family members.
