Super Junior member Ryeowook is receiving attention after reports revealed that he stayed by the side of injured fans following an accident during a concert.
According to SM Entertainment, an incident occurred on April 5 during ‘SUPER SHOW 10 SJ - CORE in SEOUL’ at KSPO Dome, when a safety fence on the side of the audience area collapsed. Three audience members fell and sustained injuries.
At the time of the accident, Ryeowook reportedly noticed the fence shaking while interacting with fans and attempted to hold it, but was unable to support the entire structure alone. After the incident, he immediately went off stage, called staff, and helped manage the situation.
Witness accounts stated that Ryeowook and fellow member Siwon quickly approached the injured fans, checked their condition, and accompanied them during their transfer to a nearby hospital.
A fan shared, “When we returned to the hospital lobby after the examination, Ryeowook and the staff were still waiting,” adding that he “stayed until the end and continued to check on the situation.”
The same fan also asked others not to misunderstand the situation, saying, “They are really warm people. Please do not criticize without knowing the full context.”
Earlier, videos of the incident spread online, leading to some claims about possible lack of response. However, it was later clarified that Ryeowook took immediate action and remained actively involved in assisting the injured.
SM Entertainment confirmed that the injured individuals received treatment and were advised to rest for about two weeks due to minor injuries.
The agency added that they will “do their best to support treatment and full recovery.”
