"Phantom Lawyer" is gaining even more momentum after officially receiving an invitation to the 28th Far East Film Festival in Udine, Italy, becoming the first drama selected for the new KOCCA on Screen@Udine section.
The invitation is drawing major attention as the drama continues to show strong results at home, making its international recognition even more meaningful.
After premiering on March 13, "Phantom Lawyer" quickly became one of the most talked about new dramas thanks to its unique mix of fantasy and courtroom storytelling. The series especially stood out for Yoo Yeon Seok’s performance as Shin I Rang, a “spirit possessed lawyer” who helps resolve the grudges of wronged souls.

The drama’s popularity was also clearly reflected in its ratings. It recorded a peak rating of 11.3%, passed double digit ratings in just 2 episodes, and ranked No. 1 in its time slot. It also took No. 1 among all Friday and Saturday mini series dramas airing in the same period, proving its strong early impact.
Its latest invitation to the Udine Far East Film Festival, one of Europe’s major festivals spotlighting Asian content, adds another major milestone. This year, the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) launched a new standalone section called KOCCA on Screen@Udine to help expand the global reach of K dramas, and Shin I Rang Law Office became the very first invited title.
During the festival, key episodes of the drama will be screened on the big screen, giving international audiences a chance to experience the series and Yoo Yeon Seok’s performance in a new setting.
The production team also shared their thoughts on the invitation, saying, “The fact that "Phantom Lawyer", which naturally blends Korean emotion and fantasy elements, has been recognized for its potential on the international stage is largely thanks to actor Yoo Yeon Seok’s ability to fully bring the character to life and express the emotional lines.” They added, “We hope it can deliver emotion and resonance not only to domestic viewers, but also to global audiences.”
With strong ratings, a No. 1 performance, and now a major international film festival invitation, "Phantom Lawyer" is continuing to build impressive momentum.
