WINNER’s Song Min Ho is facing renewed public attention after actor Lee Dong Hwi publicly denied inviting him to a recent movie VIP preview, adding more controversy to an already sensitive situation.

Song Min Ho was recently spotted at the VIP preview of Method Acting at Megabox COEX in Seoul, where witnesses said he attended wearing a mask and hat.

His appearance quickly became a hot topic online, especially because he is currently facing legal proceedings related to allegations surrounding his public service duty.

The scrutiny grew even stronger after reports claimed Song Min Ho had attended the event as Lee Dong Hwi’s guest, based on their previously known friendship.

However, Lee Dong Hwi directly addressed the claim during an interview and clearly denied it. He said, “I did not invite Song Min Ho,” and further explained, “I was not the one who contacted him. I only heard at the scene that he attended.”

His clear statement quickly drew attention online, with many seeing it as a firm effort to separate himself from the controversy.

Song Min Ho is currently facing trial over allegations tied to his time as a public service worker. His first court hearing, which was originally scheduled for March 24, has now been postponed to April 21 after his side requested a delay and the court accepted it.

Reports have also claimed that Song Min Ho was absent without leave for 102 days during his service period, which is said to be about one fourth of his total service time.

As the controversy continues, Lee Dong Hwi’s direct denial has become the latest development drawing strong public reaction.
