BTS's Jungkook breaks barriers as “GOLDEN” becomes first Asian solo album to chart for 120 weeks

Jungkook of BTS continues to prove his global power as his first solo album GOLDEN reaches a historic milestone on Spotify.

For the tracking period of February 13 to 19, “GOLDEN” ranked No. 115 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums Global chart. During that week alone, the album recorded around 46 million streams, showing steady popularity even long after its release.

Most notably, “GOLDEN” has now spent 120 weeks on the chart. This marks a new record as the first and longest-charting album by an Asian solo artist in Spotify history, highlighting Jungkook’s lasting global impact.

His solo debut track Seven is also continuing its strong run. The song climbed five spots to No. 97 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart during the same period. “Seven” has now charted for 136 weeks, setting another record as the first and longest-charting song by an Asian solo artist.

In terms of total streams, “GOLDEN” has surpassed 6.77 billion streams on Spotify, the highest cumulative streaming total for a full-length album by an Asian artist, and is approaching 6.8 billion.

“Seven” has also crossed 2.8 billion streams, becoming the first song by an Asian artist to reach this milestone.

With “GOLDEN” alone, Jungkook achieved 10 million album sales (EAS), ranking No. 1 in total sales among K-pop solo artists. In addition, his personal Spotify account has surpassed 10.48 billion combined streams across all credits, making him the fastest Asian artist and the first K-pop solo act to reach this achievement.

With record-breaking rankings, strong weekly numbers, and massive streaming totals, Jungkook continues to set new standards for Asian solo artists on the global stage.
