The SBS Friday-Saturday drama No Tail to Tell delivered a shocking twist in its 9th episode, earning a new personal best of 4.8% nationwide and 3.8% in the Seoul metropolitan area, capturing viewers’ attention and topping the ratings for its time slot. The 2049 demographic also reached 1.7%, continuing the show’s strong upward trend.

Episode 9 focused on the official romance between Eun Ho (Kim Hye Yoon) and Kang Si Yeol (Park Solomon), as their budding relationship was tested by unexpected life-or-death events.

During the episode, Si Yeol kissed Eun Ho and confessed, “Let’s have a proper relationship,” creating both tense and heartwarming moments for the couple. To prepare for a trip before an upcoming match, Eun Ho decided to earn her own money by taking a part-time job.

Her first day at work was challenging, and tension rose when Si Yeol’s former agent Hong Yeon Su (Hong Su Hyun) unexpectedly appeared as a store employee, hinting at possible complications in their relationship.

Meanwhile, Si Yeol’s soccer team, Daeheung Citizens Club, faced a sudden crisis after their main sponsor, a nursing hospital foundation, withdrew funding. This put the team in danger of losing player salaries and training support. Behind the scenes, Lee Yun (Choi Seung Yoon) exposed corruption in the foundation, adding another layer of tension to the storyline.

The most dramatic moment came at the end of the episode, when Hyeon Woo Seok (Jang Dong Ju) collapsed from a heart attack before a match, intensifying the life-or-death stakes. Si Yeol admitted to Eun Ho his fear that their choices may have caused this outcome, saying, Was what was supposed to happen to me passed on to Woo Seok instead?” Eun Ho also struggled with her feelings, showing concern that their actions might lead to further sacrifices. This cliffhanger left viewers anxious to see how the next episode will resolve the dangerous situation.

Episode 9 set a new high for the series, marking it as one of SBS’s strongest Friday-Saturday dramas.

The 10th episode of No Tail to Tell will air on February 21 at 9:50 PM KST.
