MBC’s mini series The Judge Returns is showing strong upward momentum as its ratings continue to rise, drawing attention both for its performance and for lead actor Ji Sung’s special participation in the soundtrack.
According to Nielsen Korea, The Judge Returns started with 4.3 percent ratings for its first episode and steadily increased with each broadcast.
The most recent episode, episode 6, recorded 11.0 percent nationwide ratings, officially breaking past the 10 percent mark.
This result is especially meaningful, as MBC mini series struggled to reach double digit ratings last year, making the drama’s rise stand out even more.
Adding to the buzz, Ji Sung personally took part in the drama’s OST. The OST Part 3 track titled “Nobody Say” will be released on January 24 at 6 PM KST on major music platforms.
The song reflects the firm determination of the main character Lee Han Young as he moves forward with a new resolve. With a strong beat and Ji Sung’s rhythmic vocals, the track is expected to boost immersion and emotional impact.
Ji Sung’s involvement in the OST has drawn attention, as he has previously sung for his own dramas such as Secret and Kill Me Heal Me, earning praise for adding sincerity to his characters.
This time, he is also reuniting with music director Gaemi for the first time since Secret, raising expectations for strong musical synergy.
With ratings continuing to climb and growing interest in both the drama and its OST, The Judge Returns is proving to be one of MBC’s most talked about mini series of the year so far.
