BTS member Jung Kook was reportedly targeted again by a stalker near his home, raising concerns about his safety.
On January 4, Seoul’s Yongsan Police Station responded after a report that someone was causing a disturbance near Jung Kook’s residence, including throwing mail.
The suspect, a woman in her 30s from Brazil, was seen around 2:50 PM near Jung Kook’s home in Yongsan District. She had already visited his home twice last month, despite a restraining order that Jung Kook had applied for.
This is not the first time Jung Kook has faced stalking incidents. In June last year, a Chinese woman in her 30s attempted to enter his home and was arrested, later receiving a suspended prosecution.
In August, a Korean woman in her 40s trespassed into his parking area and was arrested on the spot. Between November 12 and 14, a Japanese man in his 50s tried several times to unlock Jung Kook’s front door, leading to charges of attempted trespassing.
Authorities also applied stalking law violations at Jung Kook’s request.
Big Hit Music, BTS’s agency, issued a strong warning, stating, “We are immediately reporting any stalking acts to the police so the suspects can be arrested on the spot.”
They added, “We are also filing restraining orders. We respond strictly without leniency to any acts that threaten our artists’ privacy and safety.”
Fans have expressed concern for Jung Kook’s safety, emphasizing the importance of respecting artists’ private lives.
