Jang Ki Yong from SBS’s Dynamite Kiss is getting huge attention, and he just proved it by ranking in the TOP 4 for drama cast buzz—beating big names like Lee Je Hoon and Do Kyung Soo.
According to Good Data Corporation’s FUNdex, Jang Ki Yong placed 4th in the TV–OTT Integrated Drama Cast Buzz rankings for the first week of December.
He climbed one spot from last week and stood out as the only male actor in the entire Top 5. The rest of the top spots were filled by popular actresses Kim Go Eun, Jeon Do Yeon, Kim Yoo Jung, and Ahn Eun Jin.
This means Jang Ki Yong outperformed major male stars such as Lee Je Hoon (Taxi Driver 3), Do Kyung Soo (The Manipulated), and Park Seo Joon (Surely Tomorrow).
In Dynamite Kiss, Jang Ki Yong plays Gong Ji Hyuk, a charming “romance guy” character who keeps viewers excited every week.
His performance is also helping the drama rise in popularity. Dynamite Kiss jumped to 3rd place in overall drama buzz, moving up from 6th the previous week.
For the same period, Netflix’s Price of Confession took 1st place in overall drama buzz, followed by Taxi Driver 3 in 2nd and Dynamite Kiss in 3rd.
Jang Ki Yong’s rising buzz proves he is becoming one of the strongest male leads in the current drama lineup.
