Actor Jung Sung Il has officially ended his 9-year marriage, surprising fans with the announcement.

According to a report from YTN Star on October 14, Jung Sung Il recently divorced his non-celebrity wife.

After careful thought, the couple decided to separate, and the process was completed smoothly. They have now ended their 9-year marriage and are moving forward on their own paths.

Fans previously learned about Jung Sung Il’s real-life love story on a broadcast, where he shared a romance that felt straight out of a movie.

He first met his wife through a friend of a friend and dated her for three years before breaking up. They later reunited and married just three months after seeing each other again in 2016. The couple has one son together.

Jung Sung Il debuted in the 2002 film ‘H’ and has mainly worked on theater and musical stages. He gained widespread recognition for his role as Ha Do Young, the husband of Park Yeon Jin (played by Im Ji Yeon), in the Netflix series ‘The Glory’ from 2022 to 2023.

He has remained active in acting since then. In January, he starred as producer Han Do in the Disney Plus series ‘Trigger’, a character pursuing justice.

In September, he played his first lead role in the movie ‘Murderer Report’, and his next project is the upcoming Disney Plus series ‘Made in Korea’.
