Singer Kwon Eun Bi has set the record straight about her Waterbomb appearance fee — and shared the secret behind her fit and flawless summer look.
On October 7, the “Waterbomb goddess” appeared on MBN’s Chuseok special show Don Makase with hosts Hong Seok Cheon and Chef Lee Won Il, where she talked about the behind-the-scenes of her viral festival performances.
When asked about rumors claiming she was one of the highest-paid guests at Waterbomb, Kwon Eun Bi immediately laughed and said, “That’s not true. That information is incorrect,” firmly putting the speculation to rest.
She also gave fans a peek into her beauty and fitness routine for the summer festival. “Since the makeup can melt when you’re constantly getting splashed with water, I use a waterproof fixer — it’s like coating your face for protection,” she explained.
As for her figure, Kwon Eun Bi shared that staying in shape requires dedication. “The outfits are short and the weather is hot, so I stick to a diet and make sure to eat a lot of protein,” she said. “It’s really hard because even just standing still feels hot, so I realized I have to build stamina.”
The singer first debuted in 2014 with the group Ye-A, later gaining fame after re-debuting through Mnet’s Produce 48 as a member of IZ*ONE. Her electrifying Waterbomb 2023 performance earned her the titles “Waterbomb Goddess” and “Summer Queen,” solidifying her status as one of K-pop’s hottest solo acts.
Reflecting on her journey, Kwon Eun Bi shared, “I debuted once before the audition program, but the group disbanded because we weren’t well known. I think the difficult times made me stronger. My parents and friends supported me, and now I’m grateful that people recognize me.”
When asked about her family’s reaction to her success, she smiled and said, “They brag about me a lot. I told them not to, but now they’re just too happy.”
Kwon Eun Bi continues to thrive as both a singer and entrepreneur, recently purchasing a three-story building in Seoul’s Seongdong District for around 2.4 billion won, where she runs her own café on the first floor.
With her confidence, hard work, and honesty, Kwon Eun Bi once again proves why she’s one of K-pop’s most admired “summer queens.”
