Another filming controversy has sparked online, this time involving the upcoming Disney+ drama Delusion starring Suzy and Kim Seon Ho.

On August 27, a netizen posted on their personal social media, claiming the Delusion team had dumped trash in a forest in Jeju after shooting. Along with the post, they uploaded a video showing piles of litter, including plastic bottles, bags, drink cups, and even butane gas canisters.

The person behind the video pointed out a coffee truck cup holder with a fan message for a specific actor, saying:

“Do fans even know? After filming, this is how it was thrown away in the forest. I have no words.”

They also criticized the crew, writing:

“Jeju drama filming trash. Let’s not do this.”

The revelation quickly spread, with netizens expressing outrage:

  • “Butane gas in a forest? Just months ago there was a huge mountain fire, and they learned nothing.”
  • “First they nailed equipment into heritage sites, now they’re littering.”
  • “Cleaning up after filming is the bare minimum.”

In response, the Delusion production team told Star News:

“We are currently checking.”

This is not the first time a Korean drama filming team has caused public anger. Earlier in January, the KBS drama The Moon that Rises at Noon faced criticism after staff members were found nailing equipment into the wooden pillars of Byeongsan Seowon, a cultural heritage site. Three staff members were later given deferred indictment for the damage.

Delusion is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ next year.
