Nam Gyuri, former member of SeeYa, recently shared her honest thoughts about dating.
On August 22, a new video titled [Wansun’s Talk] Honest talk with Kim Wansun & Nam Gyuri, overflowing with sisterly vibes was uploaded on the YouTube channel Kim Wansun TV.
In the clip, veteran singer Kim Wansun asked, “Don’t you date?” Nam Gyuri quickly replied, “I don’t. It’s been a long time.”
She explained, “People always say to me, ‘You’ll regret it later.’ Sometimes, people show interest in me, but I end up running away. I just tell them, ‘I’m sorry, I have schedules.’”
Kim Wansun responded with encouragement, saying, “I don’t regret it at all. If you don’t feel anything for that person, there’s no reason to react just because they show interest in you. Of course, if your heart moves, then you can, but if it doesn’t, you can’t force it.”
Nam Gyuri admitted she sometimes blames herself, saying, “I can’t force it. Maybe my personality isn’t that good.” But Kim Wansun comforted her, saying, “That’s actually a really good thing. It means you’re not giving false hope.”
Agreeing, Nam Gyuri added, “I think giving false hope is the worst. Honestly, in our jobs, we already torture ourselves with false hope. We hope and wish for something so badly, and when it doesn’t happen, we know that emptiness well. That’s why I don’t want to give someone else false hope.”
