Former AOA member Im Do Hwa (formerly Chanmi) has shared heartfelt words about her husband, theater actor Song Ui Hwan.

On the August 18 episode of TV Chosun’s Lovers of Joseon, the couple’s wedding was featured.

Do Hwa opened up about how her husband became her biggest support, saying,
“It hasn’t been long since I found religion. I started attending the church my husband goes to. When I was going through really difficult times, if he wasn’t there, I don’t think I could have endured it.”

Song Ui Hwan also spoke about his first impression of Do Hwa. He revealed,
“When we first talked, I didn’t know who she was. She looked young but had a lot of work experience, so I thought maybe she was arrogant. But later I realized she really had a long career. She may look glamorous on the outside, but she’s actually quiet and kind, and I discovered more of her depth over time.”

The two tied the knot on June 28 in Seoul, with only family, relatives, and close friends in attendance. AOA members Seolhyun, Jimin, and Hyejeong were also there to celebrate. At the wedding, Jimin hugged Do Hwa’s mother and said, “Congratulations.” Do Hwa’s mother became emotional, recalling, “When Jimin’s father was alive, he was always so kind to the members. That memory came to me, and it made me cry.”

Back in May, Do Hwa had announced her marriage on SNS, writing,
“I met someone I want to walk the rest of my days with, and in June, we will get married. Please bless our future warmly and pray for us. It will give us great strength.”

Do Hwa debuted with AOA in 2012, but after group conflicts, the team’s activities eventually came to an end. In 2023, she changed her name to Im Do Hwa and started focusing on acting, appearing in plays such as Hot Sea and The Killer Is Coming.
