Love Like a K-Drama cast member Ha Jung Mok has shared a candid update on his life after facing heavy criticism from viewers.
Recently, the YouTube channel Gyumin JAYQ featured Ha Jung Mok alongside fellow cast members Noh Jae Yoon and Kang Hyun Gyu. During the talk, the stars caught up on life after the popular dating reality show.
While Noh Jae Yoon revealed he is now attending an academy and dating someone he met there, Ha Jung Mok admitted, “I’ve been hiding. I just stayed at home with the air conditioner on, lying down all day. I was only waiting for the days I had to go to school.”
When host Jung Gyumin pointed out that going to school might be harder with everyone looking at him during attendance, Ha Jung Mok confessed, “That’s why I thought about dropping out, but it’s my last semester, so I have no choice.”
The reality star received a wave of negative comments after the show aired, especially for his love line with cast member Lee Do, which took an unexpected turn when he expressed interest in Park Ji Yeon without clearly explaining the situation to Lee Do.
Reflecting on the backlash, Ha Jung Mok shared, “It was really hard. More than other people criticizing me, I felt that if I were watching myself on the show, I’d probably react the same way as the viewers. I felt regretful and blamed myself. Since it was my first time, I think there were parts where I was inexperienced, and I realized I had a lot to work on.”
He added that not all feedback was negative: “There were also many constructive comments worth listening to. I’ll work on improving those parts and try to become a better person.”
