Byun Yo Han reveals he fell from a third-story height while filming ‘Six Flying Dragons’ and lived to tell the hilarious story

Actor Byun Yo Han is looking back on a terrifying — yet now funny — moment from the set of Six Flying Dragons.

On August 14, the YouTube channel Mderomeda Studio uploaded a new episode of its Busan Wife Han Sang Jin series, featuring Byun Yo Han.

Han Sang Jin, who first met Byun Yo Han through the 2015 SBS drama, recalled their first big fight scene. “It was the scene where Yo Han holds a knife to my neck and then jumps over a wall. From the front, the wall only came up to our chest."

He added, "Yo Han asked me, ‘What should I do when the camera goes out of frame?’ and I told him, ‘You should jump over the wall.’ He said, ‘Okay,’ and jumped. Then I heard him yell, ‘Ah!’ From where we were standing, it looked low, but from the other side, it was like a fortress wall — and he had jumped over it.”

Byun Yo Han explained just how dangerous it actually was. “It was about two to three stories high. I should have discussed it with the stunt director, but instead I asked Sang Jin hyung. When I said, ‘What should I do?’ he seriously told me, ‘You have to jump over it.’"

He added, "At the time, we weren’t that close yet, so I kind of muttered it like ventriloquism. I started jumping, but I just kept falling and falling. I’m not joking — it was such a long fall that it felt like I had time to eat a meal while going down.”

Thankfully, Byun Yo Han made it through the risky moment without serious injury — but the memory remains one of the most unforgettable behind-the-scenes stories from Six Flying Dragons.
