BTS’s V is continuing to make history on Spotify with his solo music.
Recently, V’s Slow Dancing officially surpassed 520 million streams on the world’s largest music streaming platform. This achievement means V now has three solo songs — Love Me Again, FRI(END)S, and Slow Dancing — each with over 500 million streams.
Released as the title track of his first solo album Layover, Slow Dancing made an impressive debut on major charts, entering at #51 on Billboard’s Hot 100, #3 on Global Excl. U.S., and #4 on the Global 200. Over in the UK, it topped both the “Single Downloads” and “Single Sales” charts upon release.

In February, Slow Dancing earned a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of New Zealand, making it V’s second Gold after Love Me Again in November 2024.
The track, an R&B song inspired by 1970s soul and enriched with jazzy elements, is loved for its romantic yet laid-back mood. V’s smooth and expressive vocals give the song a peaceful, free-flowing charm from start to finish.
Layover itself has been widely praised by global music outlets like Billboard, Rolling Stone, and TimeOut for showcasing V’s unique artistry. Billboard ranked it as the #2 Best K-pop Album of 2023, noting how the bold flute solo in Slow Dancing reflects V’s strong artistic vision. UK’s TimeOut listed Layover at #19 on its “30 Best Albums of 2023” — the highest for a K-pop album — describing Slow Dancing as “a beautifully flowing soulful track” that pairs perfectly with its dreamy choreography.
